How to come
Castro Urdiales is placed about 25 minutes by road from Bilbao (main city of the Basque Country) on the main route to Santander.
The best arrival airport is Bilbao. The airport (called Sondika airport) has daily connections with the major Western European cities. Transfers from Sondika airport to Castro Urdiales can be arranged through the organization. You should indicate your request in the registration and accommodation form.
Sondika Airport is an aviation masterpiece by Santiago Calatrava, a world famous spanish architect. He is one of the most innovative and controversial architects. The terminal is also known as "La Paloma" ("The Dove") due to its resemblance to a giant bird about to take flight.
It is also possible to reach Castro Urdiales by car through the motorway between Bilbao and Santander or by regular bus or train.
