Why should I study the Bachelor’s degree in Thermal Engineering?

  • It is the first dual Bachelor’s degree in Spain in Thermal Engineering.
  • It combines Mechanical Engineering traditional teaching system (years 1 and 2) with specific training in thermal engineering (year 3), and with a contract in companies of the thermal engineering sector where the training will be completed (year 4).
  • High employability both regionally and nationally. A clear example is the agrifood refrigeration industry - it represents 17% of the international GDP and 7% in Spain. Likewise, the downward trend in fossil fuels consumption predicts a major boost for the sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in line with the Smart Specialisation Strategy S4 of Navarre, which seeks to turn Navarre into a benchmark for sustainable economy through renewable energies production and resources preservation and exploitation.

  • In companies related to the design, manufacture, installation or exploitation of energy or industrial plants.
  • As a design or product development engineer in companies that manufacture refrigerators, home or commercial (shops, malls, ...) heat pumps. 
  • Specialist in manufacturing and automation processes of industry areas related to thermal applications (cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning). 
  • Positions related with energy efficiency improvement or optimisation in thermal design areas (automotive and other industrial sectors), and with building (insulation,  ventilation or air conditioning).
  • Thermal studies for the agrifood industry (work temperature management).
  • In the renewable energies sector in general, for studies on cooling and thermal optimisation systems, and on solar energy and energy storage systems.
