Evaluation

Students have two options for passing the subject:

Continuous Evaluation:

Learning Outcome Evaluation System Weight (%) Recoverability
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Written assessment test setting out the acquired concepts (EM) 65% Non-recoverable
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Assessment tests and reports of practical activities (PM) 20% Non-recoverable.
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Reports, tasks and projects developed individually or in groups (TM) 15% Non-recoverable.

The final mark (FM) of the subject will be calculated as follows:

FM = [0,65x(EM)] + [0,20x(PM)] + [0,15x(TM)]

To pass the subject with the continuous evaluation it will be necessary to obtain a mark over 40 % in each of the individual marks (EM, PM and TM).  Prevailing rules and norms against plagiarism will be applied. Students who cannot pass the subject when the Continuous Evaluation is finalized shall attend the assessment tests at the established dates for the recovery call of the subject, and will be then evaluated under the Global Evaluation system.

Global evaluation:

Learning outcome Evaluation system Weight (%) Recoverability
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Written assessment tests setting out the acquired concepts (EM) 75% Minimum grade to weight in the final grade = 5/10 Recoverable through an assessment test
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Assessment tests and reports of practical activities (PM) 25% Non-recoverable

In this case, the final mark of the course, FM, is calculated as:

FM = 0.75 x (EM) + 0.25 x (PM)

where EM is the mark of the written exam and PM is the practicals mark.

If the exam mark is less than 5/10, the final mark of the course will be the one of the written exam.
